This morning has flown by in a mass of actual work, staff meetings, upcoming coworker nuptials, and in the best news yet – the planning of a vacation!
Yes, we went and done did it. Ryan and I may actually, in celebration of 5 years of marriage, take a honeymoon. A short, five day honeymoon, but a honeymoon nonetheless. In Mexico! Where there is a beach! And nothing to do! And umbrellas with drinks in them! Or vice versa. I am so excited I cannot even keep my alcoholic beverages straight. All I need to do is confirm when Ryan’s parents can keep Brucey and it will be booked.
I have been looking for months now, keeping tabs on prices to various lazy, beachy all-inclusive locales because as much as I love an adventurous camping trip or car-cation, I really just want to lay on the beach while someone brings me drinks all day. I need a break from reality. And what with the recent swine flu over-hype nonsense, the country of Mexico has lost BILLIONS of dollars in tourist money, and the hotels are offering insane bargains just trying to get back on their feet again. I guess I am trying to say their loss is my gain. Bring me my tequila, garcon.
