Rusty's First Thanksgiving

In which Rusty travels 4.5 hours in back seat of car like a dream. Chilled out and snoozing the whole time.

Upon arrival on Thursday, Rusty begins a feast of eating that does not conclude until we pull away from my parent's house in Jacksonburg. He quickly scarfed that cat's food before we had time to hide the bowl. Then he stole my mom's hot roll right off the dinner table, and rather than thinking my dog was just plain rude, mom decided we don't feed him enough, so she gave him all the leftovers. Then turkey gizzard and heart. Then she had me throw leftover sweet potatoes on the hillside, Rusty preceeded to eat all of them, at least a pound, and then discovered past leftovers that mom throws out for the local animals to feast on. He snacked on the hillside for about an hour.

After dinner, we took him outside to play fetch, only to discover that the out of control deer population has made my folks' back yard a toilet... you know what is coming next. Deer Poop. Then cat poop from the basement litter box. Then some treats, at which point his stomach was completely distended and he lay on the ground, napping and groaning occasionally. Then.....

Explosive diaherra.

He is an adorable puppy, he just eats like it is his last meal ever. So glad to be back in Baltimore, with a controlled eating environment.
