Time Away from Technology

So, I took a long weekend away from the computer, from the facebooks, the twitters, the blogs. If I do not do that occasionally I go a little nutty.

I am working on a post about last week's Bellevederes show that I hope to get uploaded today, just need to do the final edits. In the mean time, I am spending the morning at my desk with too much work to do, too little motivation to do it, and ready to hit the road to Jacksonburg already.

But I quickly wanted to mention that I am fully aware that I am one of the luckiest girls on the planet and I say this knowing I lost a twenty on the street in DC on Friday. I hope one of the homeless dudes picked it up, not one of the soul-sucking lobbyists whose 'hood we were visiting (you have to say "soul-sucking" with a lot of emphasis and venom).

I say I am the luckiest because I am blessed with a wonderful family, a great husband, and some cranky animals. Sometimes when you see a friend suffer, not only do you struggle with them and feel for them, you count your own blessings.

So Blessings, consider yourself counted on this beautiful Monday morning.
