On Priories and Laziness

I came into work late today, partly due to the events of last evening, partly because the nasty weather makes me want to stay in bed all day, and partly due to my lovely allergies, which have rendered me a zombie the past few months. I am also not very busy at work, waiting for a few things to fall in place before I can get moving on some stuff again.

So when I crawled out of my comfy bed in my dark cave of a room around 10 AM, I had already made the decision that I would take the day off and be lazy. All was good. Then I walked in to the bathroom and looked around, walked into my closet and looked around, and immediately starting compiling a mental list that included several loads of laundry, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the cat litter, and scrubbing toilets. My to-do list quickly expanded into, “You know, I really should make those curtains for the bedroom, and you know, I could run to target and get a new rug, and you know.....”

Faced with a daunting and ever-growing list, I turned on the shower, hopped in, and got my butt to work as fast as possible.
