This should be the title of, say, 95% of my entries. I blog in spurts (what a gross sounding sentence), when I feel guilty that I haven't put in recent pix of Rusty/Bruce up lately, as I know I will regret it in the future when I want to look back on his changes.
So here is a recent pic from this past weekend:
Bruce has discovered bodies of water, and specifically, the wetland in our back yard.
As it is getting warmer, he will go dig in the water and mud, searching for... something. Who knows what he is so intent on finding. Probably something he can eat.
He is also learning that jumping into mud puddles and streams on warm days is great fun and cools him off. He has not learned, however, that when he is covered in mud, he will inevitably be sprayed off with a hose before he can enter the house, an event he is not yet a fan of, as evidenced by his face in this picture. He is begging me to not drag him off the porch and spray him. He's so damn cute, he's hard to resist. But I've already got muddy paw prints on my comforter (which he likes to use as a towel) and my dark wood kitchen floors are permanently mud-covered.
I love my guy to no end, but he seriously tests my anal-retentive cleanliness.
I have more pictures to upload, but they are at home. I'll try to do it tonight.
